I have a problem running Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 Pro. After clicking on the shortcut I get the error: 'mmsystem266 The device could not be loaded. Verify that the driver is installed correctly'. I have tried uninstalling and reloading the game with the same results.
This error occurs if any of the following files in the Windows System Folder are missing or invalid: msvideo.dll, mciavi.drv and dciman.dll. Other files that might give rise to this or a similar message if missing or damaged are: avifile.dll, dciman32.dll, msvidc32.dll, msvfw32.dll and wow32.dll. To solve the problem, use the System File Checker (sfc.exe) to restore these files from your Windows CD-ROM.
